The Ideal Mix: German Perfectionism with a British Sense of Humour

I undertook my first translation at the age of 14, when I decided to make my unsuspecting friends - who were just happily mooching along to the beat - appreciate the (in my opinion) brilliant lyrics of the mournful Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen.

Thus my path into foreign languages was set, and after a brief and intense flirtation with simultaneous interpreting, I eventually settled very happily into life as a technical translator.
